THE THIRD MONKEY

Several weeks ago, my wonderful friend Celina ( With Dr. Celina ) was out for a visit. One day we took my neighbor and went out for a girl’s day.

We were all shopping. I went back to the cart Celina was guarding and there was a very handsome large stuffed monkey in the cart. She explained that there was a background story with the monkey and her daughter. There evidently were three sizes of the monkey. They had the medium and small but not the large.

Celina was elated to have found it. Her daughter now had the family’s first grandbaby. It tied into the nursery decorations.

Now Celina, ever being the storyteller, could not just take the money home. She made up a story about the monkey that traveled to live with the grandbaby. So she did not pack it in the suitcase but carried it on the plane.

Of course stories need pictures. So there were many. Like the monkey safely buckled in in the car ride to the airport.

Or the monkey going through clearance at the airport to board the plane.

I am happy to report that the monkey made it safely to his new forever home.

Celina took a happy find and turned it into a story that her daughter can tell her baby. When old enough, I bet the baby will be duly impressed that the third monkey relocated just to be with her.

I can even imagine in a few years, the baby and the monkey may share stories we know nothing about.
